Exploring the Arts & Crafts Paradise of the Upper Midwest

As an avid crafter and lover of all things DIY, I was absolutely thrilled when I learned that a Hobby Lobby store had opened up right here in Fargo! As soon as I could, I headed over to check it out and see what kinds of creative treasures I could uncover. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed in the least – this place has everything an artsy person like myself could ever dream of and more! In this blog post, I’ll share all the details of my experiences at the Hobby Lobby in Fargo so you can get a feel for what this spectacular store has to offer.

The Fargo Hobby Lobby is conveniently located at 4367 13th Ave S, right off I-29 on the south end of town. This makes it easily accessible whether you’re coming from downtown Fargo or one of the surrounding communities like West Fargo or Moorhead, MN.

The store hours are Monday through Saturday from 9AM to 8PM, so there’s plenty of time for crafting and creating on weeknights after work or leisurely browsing on the weekends. They’re also open Sundays from 10AM to 6PM – perfect for tackling bigger projects or getting a jump start on your holiday craft list!

From the moment I walked in, I could immediately tell this Hobby Lobby location was going to have everything I could possibly imagine needing for my DIY projects and home decor visions. The store is massive at over 55,000 square feet – talk about crafty paradise! Just a few steps in, I was already oohing and ahhing over the incredible selection of decorative papers, ribbons, fabrics, floral supplies, and ultra-trendy home accents. But this was only the beginning of the creative bounty I uncovered during my Hobby Lobby adventures in Fargo…

One of my favorite things about Hobby Lobby is that each store really caters its offerings to the local interests and needs. Since Fargo is known for its vibrant arts scene and community of makers, this location has an amazing array of materials for visual arts of all kinds – paints, brushes, canvases, sketchbooks, easels, you name it. As both a painter and crafter myself, I was floored by the options to fuel my creative passion.

Beyond the art supplies, the seasonal and holiday decor selections were truly a sight to behold. We’re talking multiple massive aisles filled with beautiful Christmas trees, ornaments, and decorations as well as everything you could possibly need for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and other festive occasions. Now I can keep my home looking Insta-worthy all year long!

Speaking of home projects, the Hobby Lobby in Fargo has the most fabulous offerings for home decor, furniture painting, and remodels. With entire sections devoted to signage and wall art, decorative pillows and throws, lamps and lampshades, rugs and furniture – along with every paint, tool, and accessory to makeover tired pieces – they have you completely covered for upgrading any room.
